The social media giant\u2019s controversial stablecoin project was announced in June 2019, in addition to dozens of partners including major corporations and various other established institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>\u201cThis Project Will Bring More Developers to the Blockchain Space\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Explaining why it\u2019s necessary to teach more people about how distributed ledger technology (DLT) works, Matthew Campbell, CEO at Loom, told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/loom-launches-cryptozombies-tutorial-to-get-coders-on-facebooks-libra\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Coindesk<\/a>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cWe went to a Libra meetup in Bangkok and 100 developers came out and none of them were blockchain people.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Campbell, a former software architect at Thomson Reuters, added: \u201cWe really think this is the project that will bring a lot more normal developers into the blockchain space.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in October 2017 and based in South Korea, Campbell and other Loom team members have been closely following the development of Alipay and WeChat, as both these services now dominate China\u2019s digital payment industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Campbell, there\u2019s going to be \u201can equivalently large wave\u201d of similar developments in the West. He also thinks mobile-based payments might be thought of as a make-or-break feature on Facebook\u2019s platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although CryptoZombies\u2019 Libra tutorials are not the only way to learn more about building applications on Facebook\u2019s blockchain, it might be a preferred option by many people because it\u2019s free and conveniently available online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crunchbase.com\/organization\/loom-network#section-overview\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Loom Network<\/a> is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) developed on the Ethereum blockchain that lets developers build and deploy decentralized applications (dApps). The main focus of the initiative is to create solutions for the gaming industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Learning to Write Code By Playing Interactive Blockchain Games<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The firm\u2019s management believes that high-quality and interactive blockchain-powered games will encourage users to learn more about cryptocurrencies. In order to provide an engaging learning experience, the Loom team uses games to teach people how to write code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campbell, a graduate from Georgia State University, noted: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cWe\u2019re going to have you make a little game, and you\u2019re going to have a little payment system in the game.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Facebook\u2019s subsidiary, Libra has been working on the project\u2019s payment system and the source code (what has been written so far) is available for users to experiment with. Libra\u2019s testnet can be used to issue tokens.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At present, Libra\u2019s virtual machine is still under development, which means that there are still many features that users cannot access at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those interested in signing up will be able to learn more about how to begin programming with Libra\u2019s source code, which includes learning a new high-level programming language, called Move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campbell remarked: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>\u201cWe\u2019re all about developer onboarding. The Loom chain is all about interoperability. We already support four chains.
